Hizen Hamashuku Sake Brewery Street

Hamanakamachi Happongi-juku grew from an Edo-period post town around sake and other brewing, and is selected as an Important Preservation District for Groups of Traditional Buildings as a brewing town. Igura-style townhouses, earthen-walled sake breweries, and other buildings create the townscape, and the plot layout based on streets and waterways remains well preserved.
