Nikka's second distillery, founded in 1969 to carry on the dream of Taketsuru Masataka. It lies in a green valley west of Sendai, surrounded by two clear rivers, the Hirose and the Nikkawa. Its brewing water is underground water of the Nikkawa, which flows down by way of the Zao mountains.
