Higashimatsushima Roadside Station

A roadside station in Higashimatsushima, Miyagi, opened in November 2024. Linked to the up-line Yamoto Parking Area of the Sanriku Coastal Road, it can also be entered from ordinary roads. From its high ground it looks out to the Pacific and over training flights of the Blue Impulse team of JASDF Matsushima Air Base. It sells local oysters, nori, and other seafood, produce such as green onions, cucumbers, and strawberries, and Ishinomaki-area specialties.
