A roadside station in Takashima, Shiga, on the road running north and south along the west side of Lake Biwa, with a sweeping view of Japan's largest lake. It stands in the birthplace of Nakae Toju, known as the Sage of Omi, and his teachings, kept alive by local people, are carried on here in a new form.
