Hachinohe Shuzo Taisho-era Storehouses

02 Aomori

A Hachinohe sake brewery that began brewing in Kenyoshi in 1775 and moved to Minato village in 1888. Six Taisho-era structures, including its north and brick storehouses, are registered tangible cultural properties and city landscape-important buildings, forming one scene with the Niida River. The north storehouse of 1916 is the largest earthen sake storehouse in the prefecture, and the brick storehouse of 1924 is spanned by Scottish steel beams.
