Kanan

27 Osaka

A roadside station on the National Route 309 bypass in Kanan, Osaka, billed as an exchange station linking city and countryside. Its farm stand sells fresh locally grown vegetables and fruit, and carries a local brand of rice and traditional Naniwa vegetables such as Kema cucumbers and Kotsuma pumpkins. In summer ripe figs fill the shelves, and there are also processed foods made with local ingredients, such as rice-flour bread, jam, mochi, and side dishes.
